Saughall Brownies and Rainbows have been creating beautiful bug hotels to put in their wildlife garden.

The garden, at the rear of the Scout Hut, is a major project for Saughall’s uniformed groups and is being created with the help and guidance of Chester Zoo’s Wildlife Connections initiative.

Each ‘hotel’ contains food and shelter to help local bugs to survive the winter and includes moss, leaves, fir cones and newspaper.

The bug hotels were on display at the Community Apple Festival which took place in the Golden Jubilee Park.
