Sainsbury’s staff at Cheshire Oaks win trip of a lifetime to Paralympic Games

LUCKY staff from Sainsbury’s in Ellesmere Port have won a weekend in the capital to experience the 2012 Paralympic Games.

Dawn Stock, Hilary Smith, Jo Choy, Helen Jones, Helen Harvey and Damian Riverol from the Cheshire Oaks supermarket were chosen out of thousands of Sainsbury’s workers who put themselves forward to visit the Olympic Park in September.

The lucky winners will travel to London to stay in a top hotel before heading to the Olympic Park’s Basketball Arena East London to watch Mexico v Germany. They will also get to watch blind football, goalball and wheelchair tennis matches.

Sainsbury’s is one of the main sponsors of the Paralympic Games, which take place from August 29 to September 9.

Store manager Anthony Clegg said: “These colleagues have been a fantastic support in driving the Paralympic message in the community. I know they are now looking forward to cheering on Paralympic teams to glory.”
