MEMBERS of Ellesmere Port Royal British Legion have raised around £1,500 after taking part in a sponsored cycle ride.
As the club has temp- orarily ceased trading, regulars decided to get on their bikes to the Phoenix Club – via Connah’s Quay and Chester to raise funds for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.
Event organiser Pete Lacey said: “I was pleased with the turn-out and would like to thank everyone for their effort and for the hospitality at the Old Quay and the Dee Miller where refreshments were provided.”
