A MUSIC video called “It’s Grim in Runcorn” has appeared on the internet.

It features images of a man running through a field with the water tower and electricity pylons in the background.

The lyrics list well-known places in Runcorn with the occasional phrase “It’s grim in Runcorn”.

At one stage the vocalist groans: “Halton Lea, also known as Shopping City.”

The Glen, Halton Castle, Boston Avenue, Castlefields, Runcorn Hill, and many other locations are mentioned.

The track is a cover version of It’s Grim Up North by the controversial 90s dance act KLF.

The video has attracted more than 3,000 views and six comments.
