AN award-winning garden created by an acclaimed horticulturalist is on offer to businesses and voluntary organisations across Cheshire.

But interested parties have less than 24 hours to stake their claim for Sue Beesley’s The Lunch Hour Garden, which won a silver medal at the RHS Tatton Show this week and is worth £10,000.

Sue, who runs Lodge Lane Nursery and Bluebell Cottage Gardens in Dutton designed the garden to encourage and inspire businesses to get out into the fresh air every day.

Hale-based PR agency Peppermint PR is one of the first companies to have benefited from the blessings of Sue’s green fingers and has introduced a range of herbs and plants into their courtyard.

Suzy Glaskie, managing director at Peppermint, said: "We brought in Sue to make the most of our small courtyard area and enhance Peppermint’s refreshing work environment.

"We use the space for lunch breaks, meetings and creative brainstorms. Our team has found the outdoor space useful for keeping minds stimulated."

Businesses and organisations interested in sprucing up their garden area by claiming the fruits of Sue’s labours should email kirsty@peppermintpr.com by noon tomorrow, Saturday, and say in 50 words or less why they should win the garden.
