MOULTON WI: A NEW Year and an exciting programme for 2009 with something of interest for everyone.

The branch were off to a great start with a talk and demonstration about Wet-on-Wet painting by Gill Adlington, a way of oil painting that allows you to create a painting in a very short time, as there is no need to wait until each coat of paint is dry.

Gill painted a riverside scene through a forest, in less than an hour to the amazement of all assembled. Several members were so intrigued that Gill has agreed to do a workshop for the group.

President Sharon Bowden reminded members about the day trip to Denman College, WI’s own college in Oxfordshire, on May 5, 2009. There are a few places left and friends and family are welcome to join the trip.

Jean Pearson won the raffle and Doreen Percival won the competition.

The next meeting will be on Monday February 9 at 7.30pm in the Methodist Hall, when the speaker will be Betty Hayhurst on a visit to an antiques fair.

New members and visitors will be made very welcome.
