AN investigation is under way into a fire at a block of flats.
The fire started at 2.49am yesterday morning at Coed Aben, Wrexham.
The two residents in the block of two-storey flats managed to get to safety before the fire crews arrived.
It is believed the occupant of one flat called the emergency services.
Crews from Wrexham managed to extinguish the fire which broke out in the first floor flat.
There was heat damage to about 70% of the flat and smoke damage to the stairwells used by residents. None of the other three flats in the building were damaged.
A joint investigation between North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police is underway.
Last month 16 people fled a blaze at a block of flats in Grenadin Close, Brynteg, Wrexham, after a sofa outside the property was torched at 2.30am.
