WREXHAM'S Registration Service is offering baby naming and commitment ceremonies as well as the chance to renew marriage vows.

The service has seen an increased demand for more civil ceremonies to mark special occasions.

Baby naming ceremonies will allow parents the chance to celebrate and welcome a child into the family. The ceremony will allow parents to announce the name chosen for their child and as well as making promises of commitment to the child.

Married couples will also get the chance to renew their vows in a unique and personal ceremony, conducted as part of a wedding anniversary. Commitment ceremonies can also be performed for couples, of any gender, who for whatever reason cannot or do not want to have a marriage ceremony.

None of these new services will have any legal status but attendees will be given a commemorative record of their special day.
