A MAN threatened off-licence staff with a pair of scissors during a robbery in Ellesmere Port.

The woman behind the counter at the off-licence on Chester Road refused to open the till and was threatened by the man who had a black scarf wrapped around his face.

The robber, believed to be aged between 17-21 years of age, also threatened another member of staff demanding they open the till, but both workers refused.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: "The offender then grabbed a small amount of cash and left, leaving staff shaken and upset following the incident."

The robber was around 5ft 2ins tall and wearing a blue tracksuit top, and white track suit trousers.
