JOHN HULSE criticised his team's finishing at the weekend but could have no complaints as his Rhyl side hit Nomads for six in last night's Loosemores Cup Group Two clash.

Things started badly for the Lilywhites when after 13 minutes a backpass from Carl Ruffer gifted Quay striker Chris Herbert the opening goal.

Seven minutes later Rhyl were level when Dave Cameron headed on from Jimmy Kelly and Andy Moran lashed home from 18 yards.

On 36 minutes Kelly swung over a free-kick from the right and Matthew Holt stooped to head Rhyl into the lead.

Four minutes before the break Lee Hunt, on his return from a three-match suspension, fired in right footed after a neat interchange with Cameron, who headed two second-half goals.

Nomads keeper Robert Pritchard then hobbled off injured and defender Ben Alston took over between the sticks, picking the ball out of the net when Hunt blasted in.

Rhyl sub Chris Sharp made his first appearance since breaking his leg in July 2006.
