SECOND-PLACED Llandudno Town could go into today’s big showdown against runaway leaders Prestatyn Town with up to four players missing.

Joe Morgan is suspended and Alan Roberts injured, while Lee Thomas, who was injured at work, and Danny Hughes, who has a training-ground injury, both have only an outside chance of being fit.

“This could not have happened at a worse time”, said James Cornish, joint manager of the Seasiders, who trail the pacemakers by 15 points with two games in hand.

Anthony Tierney and Gareth Evans are poised to join the squad.

Cornish said: “If Prestatyn win this one, the title is all settled in January, but if we win then the campaign is thrown wide open again.”

Penrhyncoch‘s hopes of league survival have suffered a setback with player-boss Gavin Allen set to miss the rest of the campaign, writes John Bridgwater.

The experienced forward has missed three months with a knee cartilage injury and his hopes of making a return appear to have been dashed after suffering a recurrence.

“I don‘t think I‘ll play again this season, which is a big blow for me and for the club,” he said ahead of today‘s testing trip to Flint Town United.

“Something’s amiss, and it looks like I'll need an operation.”

At the other end of the field Penrhyncoch have signed Aberystwyth goalkeeper Richard Morgan.

Meanwhile, Gap Queens Park have signed three more players with Welsh Premier experience.

Former Airbus goalkeepers Adam McGhee and John Rowley return to the Queensway Stadium from Flint Town United and Brymbo respectively, while striker Christian Courtney moves from Newtown.
