DICK Whittington and Tommy the cat paid pupils at Wincham Primary School a visit as part of a special panto tour.
The show, organised by teacher Donna Wilkinson, arrived at the Church Street school on Friday morning as part of a huge UK tour sponsored by sweets firm Chewits.
About 100 pupils aged from three to seven got involved with the performance, which saw five actors covering nine roles, with regular shouts of “he’s behind you” and, of course, they booed the baddie King Rat.
Donna said: “The children all really enjoyed it and were buzzing afterwards. They loved the participation and getting involved with the characters.
“They had a great morning.”
