CUSTOMERS at the Old Quay pub, Neston are being encouraged to use unwanted post-Christmas discount vouchers to receive money off their meal.
They also have the chance to win a holiday, courtesy of a new promotion from Innkeeper’s Fayre.
The Don’t Trash ’Em, Cash ’Em offer encourages customers to bring in unusual and unwanted discount vouchers of any description, regardless of value, to get £8 off every £20 spent on food until February 28.
Some wacky vouchers have already been handed in, from gym memberships and televisions to hair extensions, bird seed and even Ann Summers lingerie.
Now customers are being challenged to up the ante in the search for the weirdest coupon, with prizes up for grabs for the strangest.
The person who redeems the most unusual voucher at each participating restaurant will receive a meal worth up to £50 and they will also be entered in to a national final with £500 worth of holiday vouchers up for grabs.
Arpita Anstey, senior marketing manager for Innkeeper’s Fayre, said: “We’re delighted that customers in Neston have been getting in to the spirit of the promotion and using an array of weird and wonderful vouchers to get money off their food.
“Now we’re appealing for something even more unusual, there really are no holds barred.”
