OPPORTUNITIES for people in Ellesmere Port struggling to find work will be offered by the Prince’s Trust.
Ellesmere Port Prince’s Trust starts next month for people struggling to find work, training or to attend school.
Anyone living in Ellesmere Port and Neston aged between 16 and 25 and wanting to get involved in adventure sports, qualifications, work experience and make new friends is invited to join.
The Prince’s Trust Team programme is a 12-week personal development course, for employed and unemployed people from a variety of backgrounds with different abilities.
The programme delivers training which will help attendees develop skills, self-confidence and motivation.
They will plan, fundraise and execute a project to help their local community. Teams in the past have renovated community centres and day centres and transformed empty or overgrown gardens into beautiful and enjoyable places to spend time.
The final team challenge will be to organise, plan and participate in days out for disadvantaged people from Ellesmere Port and Neston.
The Prince’s Trust programme starts in Ellesmere Port on Tuesday, May 3, and ends on Friday, July 22.
