PRESTEIGNE kept their noses in front in the race for the league crown after earning a hard fought 1-1 draw at defending champions Llanrhaeadr.

The league leaders had trailed to an Alun Jones opener, but hit back to earn a share of the spoils through Darren Jones.

The draw kept them two points clear at the top from second placed Caersws Reserves, who found themselves held 2-2 at Llanfyllin.

The Bluebirds had carved an early two-goal lead through Andrew Green and Adam Farrington, but were pegged back before the break with a brace from Andy Ford.

Aberystwyth Reserves made up ground in third spot with a 2-1 verdict over Berriew courtesy of goals from Thomas Evans and Jason Rees, the visitors staying in the hunt with an own goal from keeper Dafydd Edwards.
