A DAD has pleaded guilty to more than 20 sickening sex crimes against children.
“Predatory paedophile” Ronald Anderson is facing a lengthy spell behind bars after admitting the depraved offences.
He had been due to stand trial next week after denying 35 original offences, but pleaded guilty to 22 of them at a hearing on December 19 after being charged with four new crimes.
Det Sgt Simon Newell, who led the investigation, said 47-year-old Anderson lured his young victims to his home at Tatton Close, Winsford, and plied them with alcohol.
The evil acts he committed included twice attempting to rape a 10-year-old girl, forcing an 11-year-old girl to perform a sex act on him and sexually assaulting a string of pre-teen schoolgirls.
He also admitted taking and possessing indecent pictures of his victims. Anderson was advised to plead guilty by his legal team after detectives showed them the images seized.
DS Newell, of Northwich Specialist Investigation Unit, said: “The defence team hadn’t seen the pictures and once they did they could see they had been taken in his house and it gave massive credence to the accounts the children had given.”
The offences occurred over a two-year period and involved 13 different young girls. Police were alerted in June after one girl told her parents Anderson had taken a photograph of her as she got out of a paddling pool in his back garden.
Further investigation led DS Newell and his team to uncover his crimes. Anderson will be sentenced at Chester Crown Court later this month, and could be jailed for up to 18 years.
