HOSPITAL patients from Halton are benefiting from an excellent standard of food, privacy, dignity and environment according to a national agency.
The National Patient Safety Agency report refers to the annual inspections of Whiston and St Helens Hospitals, where many Halton residents travel to for care.
The inspections cover seven categories and are scored out of five.
St Helens and Knowsley NHS trust scored the highest possible marks for toilet and bathroom cleanliness, food service and privacy and dignity, among others.
The Trust was also praised for its infection control and the successful deep clean programme which was carried out earlier this year.
