A FAMILY learning dance and film project has been launched in Ellesmere Port.

Cheshire Dance is inviting Port families to take part in their “If I fall” initiative, which will result in the creation of a film to be premiered in summer 2009.

The current phase of the project will begin early in the New Year and will focus on falling in relation to developmental movement in infants.

Cheshire Dance will also be working with Capenhurst Grange pupils and their families during the project, as well as families of mental health service users.

Tracy Birch, head of performing arts at the school, said: “The young people have been so engaged with the variety of workshops that they’ve experienced so far. It’s been wonderful to see the different age groups mix and work together on this project. I can’t wait to see the final result!”

The film will be shown during a special day of dance sessions, which forms part of the Ellesmere Port Arts Festival.
