POP star and ice queen, Jessica Taylor, has launched Specsavers’ 2009 nationwide search for the Spectacle Wearer of the Year.
The former Liberty X singer and spectacle-wearer is helping the UK’s largest optical retailer to find ordinary people in Ellesmere Port who look extraordinary in their glasses.
The annual competition is open to men and women aged 16 and over from across the country.
Patricia Sheehan, store director of Specsavers in Ellesmere Port, said: “The competition gives us the opportunity to shout about people who wear specs loud and proud and are great role models for younger specs wearers to aspire to.”
The winner will scoop a year’s modelling contract with Premier Model Management, an all-inclusive holiday for two to Barbados courtesy of Almond Resorts and Kuoni, £250 spending money, a goody bag from Matrix and Barry M Cosmetics, a £150 Specsavers’ designer eyecare voucher and the Spectacle Wearer of the Year trophy.
To enter visit any Specsavers store or log on to the website www.specsavers.co.uk/competition. The closing date for entries is Tuesday, June 30.
