POLICE running an operation in Ellesmere Port to tackle anti-social and illegal driving have seized a moped and a mini moto.

The mini moto was seized on Whitby Park on Saturday, September 19, from a 17-year-old rider who has been reported for summons for various driving offences.

On Monday, September 21, a 50-year-old man spotted riding his moped in Market Square, Ellesmere Port, had his vehicle seized because he had no insurance.

Ellesmere Port police inspector Richard Rees said: “The anti-social and illegal use of mini-motos, mopeds and motorbikes is something the residents of Ellesmere Port have told us is a concern to them.”
