DETECTIVES will return audio tapes made by a Wrexham fan to the High Court tomorrow (Friday) but have given no clue as to what will happen next.

The tapes hold almost 24 hours of conversations between former chairman of Wrexham and Alex Hamilton's ex-business partner, Mark Guterman, and Wrexham fan Kenny Pemberton.

The contents of the tapes has never been published, as Guterman took out an injunction against Mr Pemberton to stop their circulation and to prevent any details being made public.

As Mr Pemberton was fighting the injunction, North Wales CID seized the tapes to

find out whether the contents included anything required further investigation.

The gagging order was temporarily lifted until tomorrow's hearing, with Mr Pemberton promising not to reveal any of the tapes' details or circulate any more copies.

'North Wales Police will return the seized tapes and submit a statement to the High Court in Liverpool on Friday, May 27, in accordance with the order made on April 22,' said a spokeswoman.
