POLICE have urged the driver of a blue car which failed to stop after a cyclist came off her bike following a near-miss in Ellesmere to come forward.

The teenage cyclist was riding along the lane towards Greenhill Bank at Criftins at about 1.45pm on Thursday when she was forced into the verge by the navy blue estate car, similar to a Ford Mondeo..

She suffered a bruised leg and was shaken by the incident. Police today appealed for any witnesses to the incident to contact them.

“We’d also urge the driver of this car or anyone who knows his or her identity to contact us on 08457 444888,” a police spokeswoman said.
