DETECTIVES have launched a witness appeal after staff at a Widnes supermarket were threatened by a knife-wielding robber who raided the Londis store at Bechers, Hough Green, at 7.51pm, on Sunday.
He stole cash, cigarettes and vodka. Police say there were no injuries but staff were shaken by their ordeal.
The robber was 6ft 2ins tall, wearing a black North Face jacket and black tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the side. He spoke with a Widnes accent.
