POLICE searching for a missing man are becoming concerned after discovering his car in Snowdonia.
A silver BMW 318 belonging to 63-year-old Anthony Lewis, from Whitby, Ellesmere Port, was found at 11.39pm on Thursday.
Cheshire police have since renewed their appeal for help from the public particularly in the Snowdonia and surrounding area.
Mr Lewis was last seen on Thursday, July 5, and it is believed he may in this area of North Wales.
Inspector Sharon Case of Cheshire Constabulary said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for Anthony’s welfare. His lack of contact with his family is totally out of character and I would ask anyone who may have seen him to come forward and contact us.
“I would also ask Anthony himself if he is listening to this appeal to make contact with us using the 101 number or by calling in to the nearest police station.”
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Constabulary on 101, quoting incident 871 of July 5.
