THE search for the body of missing Ermatati Rodgers was officially called off on Monday after DNA tests revealed human remains dug up in farmland were hers.

After more than a week of tests, police confirmed the remains, found on land near Erddig, were those of Ermatati Rodgers, known as Tati, of Gwersyllt.

It comes 15 months after friends of the 41-year-old, originally from Indonesia, reported her missing from her home in Bryn Awel Court, on January 5, 2008.

Lukasz Reszpondek, 27, of Bradley Road, Wrexham, has been charged with murdering Ms Rodgers.

The case has been adjourned for a plea and directions hearing on July 29.

The judge fixed a provisional trial date for October 19 before a visiting High Court judge.
