CHESHIRE Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of an Ellesmere Port man who was reported missing by his family yesterday.
John Burke, 38, was last seen at around 9.30am on Saturday 7 August.
John was at a family member’s house getting ready for his sister’s wedding with the other male members of the wedding party, when he said he was popping out to a local shop - and he never came back.
It is believed that John is on foot and does not have access to a car. He has family around the Ellesmere Port area.
John is described as a white male, aged 39, around 5’4” tall and of stocky build.
He has short dark hair, which is receding at the forehead. It is believed John is wearing a Blue adidas jacket with grey sleeves, blue coloured jeans and white trainers.
It is completely out of character for John to go missing, particularly on the morning of his sister’s wedding, and as such John’s family are deeply concerned and urging him to make contact either with a family member or with the police to provide re-assurance that he is safe and well.
Meanwhile, police are asking the communities of Ellesmere Port and wider Cheshire to consider whether they have seen John since he left the family home on Saturday morning at around 9.30am.
