A NEW Inspector has taken over the reins at Winsford Neighbourhood Policing Unit.
But the new man at the helm, Dave Snasdell, will be familiar to many in the area having previously spent time as a Detective Sergeant in the town.
Now he is hoping to use this experience, and other skills gained during his 20 years with Cheshire Police, to give Winsford a real shot in the arm.
He said: “Winsford is a great town with a real sense of community and I want to embed this into policing in the area and ensure officers are a part of that community.
“Community involvement is key to the success of any policing team and I am dedicated to building excellent links with all groups and agencies.
“I want to empower communities to police themselves, trusting in local officers to help them achieve this and to remove those who commit crime and disorder.”
Insp Snasdell added: “I intend to send a clear message to those seeking to carry out criminal acts in Winsford - we are watching you and the community is watching out for you.”
