POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two break-ins in Weaverham over the weekend.

Thieves got into the garage of a house on Owley Wood Road between 10pm on Friday and 7.30am on Saturday, but nothing was taken. And between 7pm on Friday and 7.30pm Saturday three fishing roads, a tripod and tackle were stolen from a garden shed at Kendrick Close.

Delivery van stolen

A FORD Transit van full of pharmaceuticals was stolen after a delivery driver left the engine running and keys on the ignition.

It had been delivering to Lloyds Pharmacy, Northwich Road, Weaverham when it was taken at 1.45-1.50pm on Friday.

The vehicle, registration KP06ACY, is still missing. Anyone who spots it should call Northwich Neighbourhood Policing Unit on 01244 614254.

Get into the groove

Car stereo taken

A CITROEN Saxo parked off Winnington Lane was broken into on Sunday. The vehicle’s stereo, valued at £250, was stolen between 8.30am and 2.25pm.
