A POLITICIAN is campaigning to make Wrexham FC's LDV trophy match in Cardiff "a fans' final".
Wrexham MP Ian Lucas wants all fans who have supported the club through its recent crisis to stand together.
The Dragons are still in dire trouble, despite making the LDV final on April 10 at the Millennium Stadium. But their situation has been helped by a campaign which encourages fans of other clubs to attend matches at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground.
Mr Lucas has written to the Football League to request that fans from across the country who have shown their support for the Clubs in Crisis campaign are invited to attend.
Such days have already been held at several other clubs across Britain.
Mr Lucas said: "April 10 is already a celebration for Wrexham fans.
"But there have been many clubs from all across the country where fans have stood in solidarity with Wrexham, and there is a growing feeling that this should be a fans' final.."
