LOVE conquers all at The Harlequin Theatre, Northwich, next month, where preparations are in full swing for a spring production of Jane Austen’s popular romantic comedy Pride and Prejudice.

Director Kelly Kitchen, a newcomer to the theatre in Queen Street, Northwich, says her aim is to bring out the early nineteenth century “feel” of the original book.

Newcomer Lucy Denman plays Jane Bennett, whose romance with Mr Bingley (Ben Brunsden), is nearly ruined by the rest of her family.

Jenni Oates plays Elizabeth Bennett, whose earlier dislike of the reserved Mr Darcy, played by Dylan White, turns into gratitude and finally love.

The cast also includes John Smith and Lorrain Shuker as Mr and Mrs Bennett, Richard Sadler, Caroline Young, Maureen Melville, Amy Norwood, Matt Bird.

Pride and Prejudice runs from Wednesday April 2 until Saturday April 5. Tickets, priced £6 (£5 for full-time students), are available from the box office on 01606 41597.
