THE Meadow Farm Playbus, which has served the community for more than 30 years, was last week saved – thanks to the Pioneer and Vauxhall Motors.

Based in Great Sutton, the bus lost its overnight parking bay at the borough council bus depot in Rossmore and its future looked in doubt.

But a rescue by Vauxhall Motors – following a plea for help from the Pioneer – resulted in the car giant offering a new home at the plant in North Road.

Phil Millward, General Motors’ HR director for the UK, said: “A number of our employees have used the playbus for their children so we were pleased to help.”
