Pitch inspection planned for Witton’s cup match with Marine

WITTON’S UniBond League Challenge Cup match with Marine is in doubt as the pitch at Wincham Park is frozen.

Club officials expect the game to be called off when the referee completes his pitch inspection this afternoon at 2pm.

It the postponement is confirmed then it will be the second time the tie has been a victim of the cold weather.

Witton are next in action on Saturday when they host Matlock Town in the league (3pm).
