A 55-YEAR-OLD man was assaulted after he tried to prevent an argument in Ellesmere Port.

At about 12.40pm on Sunday, November 28, the victim tried to stop an argument between a woman and two men inside the Londis store on Stanney Lane. The two men then left.

As the victim went outside the store, a man riding a motorbike who was initially with the woman demanded to know what had happened.

The victim was then assaulted by the man and fell to the ground, suffering cuts to his forehead.

The offender is described as white, 6ft 1in tall and of average build.

He was wearing a dark tracksuit, dark jacket and a motorbike crash helmet.
