NEW driver Jessica Wright is the second recipient of the Pass Plus Cymru quarterly £250 prize.
Jessica’s name was drawn from a list of all participants who returned their evaluation form on completion of the course.
Her Pass Plus Cymru instructor was Ron Ingall of Ron Ingall School of Motoring, which is based in Whit- church.
GEM Motoring chief executive officer David Williams said: “We are delighted to sponsor the prizes for this exciting Welsh initiative. I feel sure Pass Plus Cymru will help contribute in making Welsh drivers of tomorrow more aware, considerate and safer.”
Jessica, 22, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed the extra training Pass Plus Cymru gave me and picked up a lot of useful tips and advice as a new driver.
“I recommend it for all those who have just passed their test.”
Cllr David Bithell, lead member for Environment and Transport, said: “Pass Plus Cymru is a great initiative to help young drivers learn more driving skills and become safer drivers.”
Pass Plus Cymru has been developed for novice drivers aged from 17-25 to offer more than the basic Pass Plus scheme.
Wrexham County Borough Council is able to offer this post-driver training course thanks to funding from the National Assembly Government.
The cost of the course is £20, a massive discount from the normal cost of £120-£150. Courses are being run in the borough throughout the year.
