THE North Wales Jazz Society presents Jazz in the Park.
The events takes place on Friday, August 1, at Bellevue Park in Wrexham.
Among the performers is the Andy Gleave Quartet, a highly popular band led by one of the most versatile vocalists and keyboard players in the North West.
For many years, Andy Gleave has divided his time between jazz, pop and rhythm and blues, performing with artistes and bands as diverse as Tamla Motown groups The Temptations and The Miracles, jazz greats including trumpeter Bobby Shew, legendary guitarist Mundell Lowe, the Shades of Kenton Orchestra, Sounds 2000 and the Art Lester Big Band.
Gleave, who is a lecturer in popular music at Wigan and Leigh College, is a frequent performer at the well-known Wigan International Jazz Festival and Manchester Jazz Festival.
At Bellevue Park, he will be joined by Trefor Owen on guitar, plus bass and drums.
The music on the park’s Edwardian bandstand starts at 7pm, with free admission and everyone is invited to come along, maybe bring a picnic, and relax to some great music.
