A PARALYMPIC hero is taking her bronze medal to a supermarket in Ellesmere Port.
Discus thrower Bev Jones will celebrate her success at the London 2012 Paralympic Games by making an appearance at Sainsbury’s on Kinsey Road.
Bev will be proudly wearing her medal won for customers and colleagues on Saturday from 11am.
Born in Mancot, North Wales, Bev will thank residents for their support as well as sharing her once-in-a-lifetime experience.
It is just a few weeks since Bev’s incredible achievement at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, which took place between August 29 and September 9.
She is one of 52 ParalympicsGB medal-winning athletes visiting their local Sainsbury’s stores this week.
Ellesmere Port store manager Anthony Clegg said: “This is a great opportunity for our customers to meet Bev Jones in person.
“Many of our customers and colleagues were right behind Bev during the Games, cheering them on to success. This is the perfect opportunity for fans congratulate her and see a Paralympic medal up close.”
Bev will be available for photos throughout her appearance and customers are encouraged to take their cameras to avoid disappointment.
