SPECSAVERS in Wrexham is hoping to raise a spectacular amount for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

The opticians will be selling a range of pink products this month, Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The range includes exclusive, limited edition rose-tinted glasses.

The glamorous glasses come complete with a pink case and hi-tech cleaning cloth featuring the Breakthrough logo.

They cost £10 each and all money raised will go toward the continuing fight to wipe out breast cancer through research and education.

Pink pin badges and wristbands are also on sale in-store for a suggested donation of £1 each.

Claire Blake, manager of Specsavers in Wrexham, said: 'This is a great cause and, as a local business, we are delighted to be able to offer our full support to the Breakthrough cause.

'More than 1,000 woman die of breast cancer every month in the UK and each year thousands of families lose mothers, grandmothers, daughters, sisters, wives, friends and partners to this disease. It is scary how many lives it touches in one way or another and it is important that people are aware of how they can help make a difference.

'We hope people in Wrexham will help show their support by coming and buying a pair as the more money we can raise the more we will be able to help.'

Kate Bernstein of Break-through Breast Cancer said: 'We are thrilled that Specsavers in Wrexham has chosen to work with Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

'The pink, rose-tinted glasses are fantastic fashion items and Specsavers has been extremely generous in pledging the total sales of this product to Breakthrough.'

The store is also planning a fun day to raise money.
