MEMBERS of the public going to an open meeting at Neston Town Hall will hear about plans for health provision for the next five years.

West Cheshire Clinical Commissioning Group is responsible for buying healthcare for the population of West Cheshire, including the three localities of Ellesmere Port and Neston, Chester City and West Cheshire and a population of about 253,000.

The Clinical Commissioning Group comprises all 37 GP practices across the three localities, who have agreed to work together with Cheshire West and Chester Council to improve care for local people.

From April 1, 2013, Clinical Commissioning Groups will make most of the decisions about local health services, led by local GPs and other clinical staff.

Drop in at Neston Town Hall on Thursday, April 19, at 6.15pm to start at 6.30pm and meet GPs who work in general practice and have key roles in the Clinical Commissioning Group, listen to plans and ask questions.
