THE husband of an ex-Mid Cheshire councillor is releasing a book about his life growing up with the world’s most wanted terrorist.

Former Moulton parish councillor Jane Felix-Browne married Omar bin Laden, the fourth son of Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, in September 2006.

The couple, who met in Egypt and are now thought to be living in the Middle East, have been campaigning for world peace since the fifth anniversary of the September 11 atrocities.

Now 28-year-old Omar and his mother Najwa bin Laden have told their story with the help of Jean Sasson, a New York Times best-selling author.

Growing Up bin Laden is released in the US next month.

“It’s all about Omar’s life from a child growing up in Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Afghanistan – and his mother’s life and how she met Osama – right up until 9/11,” said a source close to Jane, aka Zaina Alsabah bin Laden.

Literary agency Liza Dawson Associates describes the book as ‘an extraordinarily intimate journey into the domestic life and political evolution of the world’s most notorious terrorist’.

Its website continues: “From daily life to their first glimpses of Osama’s growing fanaticism, mother and son give us an extraordinary view of the private life of a man both loved and feared by his family.”

Jane, formerly of Main Road, Moulton, declined to comment on the book or ongoing attempts to return to the UK when contacted this week.

The couple celebrated their third anniversary on September 15.

“Everyone said it would never last,” said the source. “It looks like they’ve all been proven wrong.”
