A NOISY neighbour from Ellesmere Port has had a banning order against her extended for two years.

Mandy Welsh, 47, of Maple Avenue, Ellesmere Port, appeared at Chester Magistrates Court on October 25.

Welsh appeared before magistrates to be sentenced for two breaches of her earlier criminal anti-social behaviour order (CRASBO), which involved causing a noise nuisance to her neighbour.

The CRASBO will expire on December 9, 2014.

The initial order, which was granted for two years on December 8, 2010, was due to expire.

Welsh must not use offensive, abusive or threatening language which can be heard by a person not living at the same address as her within Cheshire West and Chester.

She is also banned from creating noise that can be heard by neighbours between 10.30pm and 6am, which includes shouting, operating the television and radio and banging on the doors and walls of the property.

A CRASBO is an ASBO which is made on the back of a criminal conviction.

A spokesman for the Ellesmere Port and Neston Anti-Social Behaviour Unit said: “Breaches of anti-social behaviour orders are closely monitored and actioned by the Anti-Social Behaviour Unit.

“If a person subject to an anti-social behaviour order continues to be convicted of breaching the ASBO then the necessary action will be taken and consideration will by given to extending their ASBO.

“Criminal convictions for breaches of ASBOs rely on the community being willing to offer evidence and thanks is given to those individuals who are willing to support their community by not tolerating any anti-social behaviour.”
