NORTHWICH Vics manager Dino Maamria has been sacked.

The 34-year-old was subject to an internal investigation by the club following circumstances leading to the Vics boss’ suspension in September.

The Tunisian, who took charge at the Marston’s Arena in September 2007, had been on "gardening leave" while the investigation took place.

Vics have not yet confirmed the reasons behind the sacking and it is understood that Maamria is considering taking legal action against the club.

Caretaker manager Mike Marsh will continue in charge of the first team for Saturday’s important FA Cup fourth-qualifying round clash with AFC Telford United (3pm ko).
