CHILDREN and teachers at Rudheath Community Primary School are hoping the support of people in Mid Cheshire will help them win a £50,000 National Lottery grant.
The school is one of eight projects shortlisted for a share of the People’s Millions Fund, which would be used to install an outdoor classroom, seating area, new play equipment and an outdoor stage.
The application is in competition with bids from other projects across the region and members of the public are asked to vote to decide who should receive the money.
Simon Kinder, deputy headteacher, explained: “We are really excited about the project because we know it will not only benefit the children of our school but the wider community.
“The outdoor play area will help keep the children fit and will also help them to develop creative, healthy minds. With this in mind we would ask readers to please vote for the project and help us invest in a brighter future for our community.”
The school will feature on Granada news on Tuesday, November 25, and the telephone number to vote will be given. For more information on the scheme visit www.biglotteryfund.org.uk.
