MARATHON man Alan Maddock is limbering up to take on his latest daunting endurance challenge to raise money for charity.

Alan, 47, from Winnington, works at Weaver Vale Housing Trust's Rudheath headquarters. He is set to embark on a 12-hour sponsored run at Marbury Park on Friday, May 22.

All proceeds will go to The Joshua Tree, a Sandiwaybased charity which aims to give children suffering from life-threatening illnesses access to a unique holiday home and support centre.

Alan has completed the London Marathon twice, as well as two gruelling runs across the former Vale Royal borough.

“My previous runs across Vale Royal were roughly 50 miles but I expect to cover about 70 miles in 12 hours, which will be much more intense than anything I've ever done before,” said Alan.
