Northwich firefighters called to Allostock nursing home

A FIRE started in a first floor bedroom at a Mid Cheshire nursing home in the early hours of today, Wednesday.

A FIRE started in a first floor bedroom at a Mid Cheshire nursing home in the early hours of today, Wednesday.

Firefighters from Northwich and Holmes Chapel were called to Mount Pleasant care home on London Road after an emergency call at 2.50am.

Four officers were sent in to extinguish the blaze, which is believed to have been caused by a faulty extractor fan. The room was unoccupied, and no one was hurt.
