THE Card Factory in Northwich town centre has launched a competition for primary school children in the area as part of its ‘Match our Million’ campaign with Macmillan Cancer Support.
Children are invited to create a design for a coffee mug following the theme ‘my family’. A panel will select their favourite design, which Card Factory will then print onto a limited edition coffee mug.
The mug will be sold in stores nationwide in the run up to Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ on Friday, September 25, with all profits going to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
Entry forms are available in the Card Factory store in The Weaver Shopping Centre, and parents simply need to validate the entry online at www.cardfactory.eu.com.
Card Factory is also offering a prize of £1,000 to the winner’s school to be spent on arts and crafts materials. Teachers can download entry forms from the Card Factory website enabling the whole class or even whole school to participate.
Card Factory has supported Macmillan Cancer Support for three years, last year donating £1m to the charity. This year, the greetings card retailer has challenged the public to match that million by donating their spare change in store. A running total is published monthly on the website.
