NORTH West children are being urged to launch their own firms and become the business leaders of the future.

Thomson Local has announced its first ‘Build a Business’ scheme for schools. Pupils should submit proposals for firms that will add value to their community.

Thomson will shortlist 50 schools, and each will receive a £100 bursary to start them up.

The initiative comes as new research shows 81% of kids aspire to run their own business and their most admired boss is Sir Alan Sugar.
