COLLEAGUES from a solicitors are stepping out to help charity.

The group of nine from Cullimore Dutton solicitors, based in White Friars, Chester, and which includes a Rossett resident, will put their best feet forward in events including Wrexham’s Race for Life and the Edinburgh Marathon in a bid to raise more than £800 for charity.

Trainee lawyer Nikki Henderson, 18, of Myrica Grove, Hoole, is taking part in the Tatton Park Race for Life and the midnight walk for Nightingale House Hospice, both of which are in June.

Legal secretary Patricia Hall, 66, of Hawarden, and legal assistant Nicky Belton, 37, of Rossett, will take part in the Wrexham Race for Life on June 21.

James Lunt, a solicitor in the commercial department, is taking part in the Edinburgh marathon on May 31 for St Luke’s Hospice.

The 33-year-old, of Winnington Lane, Northwich, said: “My training for the marathon is going well.

“I completed the Oulton Park half-marathon in March in one hour 41 minutes.

“I am running four times a week and continue to increase my long run.

“I have raised £400 so far and hope to raise in the region of £500.”

Fellow commercial solicitor James Goddard, 27, of Seller Street, Chester, is hosting a walk for Claire House Children’s Hospice on Sunday for company staff and their families.

Several staff are training hard in preparation for Cancer Research UK Race for Life events.

Receptionist Linda Knowles, 64, of Little Sutton, and accounts manager Julie Dean, 48, of Boughton, are taking on the Chester Race for Life on June 14.
