Newton Primary School pupils had fun celebrating Christmas this year.

The PTA committee organised a successful Christmas Fair on Friday, December 4 which raised more than £2,100 which will go towards developing a multi-purpose practical room for curriculum areas such as science, design and food technology.

Both the infant and Year 3 & 4 Christmas concerts were well attended and the children produced impressive performances based on the Christmas story. The Year 5 & 6 Christmas concert took place at All Saints Church, Hoole.

The infant children enjoyed their visit to the Reindeer Lodge near Cheshire Oaks while the junior pupils took a trip to Mold to watch Cinderella – The Panto with Soul at Theatr Clwyd.

The school’s catering team and staff volunteers served a tasty Christmas lunch for the children on Thursday, December 10.

The whole school celebrated a Christmas party in the school hall and all pupils and staff took part in the charity Christmas Jumper Day on December 18 in aid of Save the Children.
