NEW year celebrations put a Weaverham family even more in the pink when baby Matilda decided to finally put in an appearance.
Matilda was delivered at 4.53 in the morning on New Year’s Day much to the relief of mum Kathryn Pink, 32, who started having contractions two days earlier.
Her arrival was witnessed by proud dad Mark, 42, and gran Irene Perrett from Davenham, who immediately relayed the news to the rest of the family.
Kathryn said: ‘It wasn’t quite the New Year’s Day we had expected, and the strongest thing I had to drink all day was a cup of tea.
‘But we didn’t mind at all and are all thrilled to bits with Matilda including our little boy Benjamin who is 16 months and cannot stop kissing her.’
