Neston is preparing to come alive with the sound of music this Saturday, July 6 as the annual village fair comes to town.

Taking place on Comrades’ Field and raising money for local charities and good causes, this year’s theme is The Musicals, with visitors being encouraged to let their imagination run wild and choose a suitably dramatic fancy dress costume for the occasion.

Attractions available to visitors throughout the afternoon include:

Neston Talent Showcase

Cavalcade of Classic Cars

The Rose Queen and her attendants

Great Stalls and Attractions

Hip & Harmony’s adult choir and street

Beer Tent, teas and other refreshments.

Neston councillor, Andy Williams, said: “The Village Fair follows Ladies’ Day as one of the highlights of the Neston calendar and every year the community comes out in force to help celebrate.

The cavalcade of classic cars, with The Rose Queen and the Mayor of Neston, will leave the United Reformed Church in Parkgate Road at 1pm, to process to Comrades’ Field, behind the Parish Church in Neston High Street, where they will be greeted by the Neston ATC Marching Band.

Neston Village Fair opens at 1.15pm and the entrance charge is 50p.
